Train Season Tickets Types

Flexi Season Tickets

The tickets only need to travel for a maximum of eight days in 28 days, and the ticket can be used unlimited times until 4:29 am on the day after the expiry date. It may also provide you with a minimum discount of 20%. Please activate it after purchase, and it’s only available for Standard Class travel, not for First Class.

Digital Season Ticket

A Digital Season ticket, available on the TrainPal, allows unlimited travel between two specified stations for a designated period, at any time of day.

Weekly Season Ticket

Enjoy unlimited travel between two stations for seven days. You can travel at any time of the day, and it is cheaper than buying three daily Return tickets.

Monthly Season Tickets

The tickets are a type of train ticket that allows unlimited travel within a fixed route for a month. They are cheaper and more convenient than buying four Weekly tickets.

Annual Season Tickets

The tickets are a type of train ticket that allows unlimited travel within a fixed route for a year. They eliminate the need to buy tickets each time and can save you the cost of 12 weeks of travel, making it a cost-effective option for frequent travellers!

Student Train Season Tickets

The tickets are a type of train ticket that allows unlimited travel within a fixed route for a semester. They are valid at any time, but it's important to carry your photocard and student ID with you at all times.

Custom Season Tickets

This ticket can be customised to suit your time requirements with a corresponding Season ticket.

First Class Season Ticket

Generally, this ticket provides a first-class service throughout your journey, eliminating the need for an additional upgrade.

Extra Discounts With Railcard

16-17 Saver

The 16-17 Saver is a Railcard giving even more of a discount than the 16-25 Railcard, if you are between 16 and 17 years old. You can enjoy 50% discounts on Standard Class fares.

If you move house, change your place of work or wish to change the class of travel, you may apply to exchange any Season Tickets except Weekly and Flexi Season tickets, for one month or longer with at least 7 days remaining, for one with the same expiry date for your new journey or class. No administration charge is made.

Refunds

It can be refunded mostly and there are certain refund eligibility criteria:

For Weekly Season tickets, there must be at least 3 days remaining to be eligible for a refund;

For Monthly or Annual Season tickets, there must be at least 7 days remaining.

It needs to pay a certain fee, specific as follows:
